Interested J1 Visa Applicants
In order to be eligible for a J1 Visa you must currently be a student between the ages of 19 and 30.

J1 WAT APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK THROUGH SUN VALLEY'S SUMMER SEASON- 15 JUNE - LATE SEPTEMBER
J1 Visas are generally good for 5 months (December-April, June-October), 4 months of work and 1 month of traveling. Employee housing is available for full time employees for $3.00 a day per dorm, and are usually shared with other employees.
Interested H2B Visa Applicants
The H-2B is a visa that allows non-US citizens to work specifically for Sun Valley Company in a specified department from roughly late November to September for the 10 month visa positions and November or December to April for any winter only positions. The H-2B visa is a seasonal visa that we are granted by proving to the U.S. government that we cannot fill our positions with U.S. citizens. If you have secured a J-1 visa through another program, you will not need to go through this process.
Important update!
As the processing of H-2B visa applications is time consuming and unpredictable, Sun Valley Co. will submit all Visa applications to the USCIS through Premium Processing. This assures I-797 petition processing in the U.S. that is completed in a matter of weeks instead of several months. The cost to you will be $150.00 - USD, payable at the time of the acceptance of your job offer. The fee is non-refundable.
You must apply for an H-2B Visa through Sun Valley Company HR Offices in these steps.
Step 1: Sun Valley Company will accept employment applications for the 2008-2009 H-2B Visa program from July 1 through July 31. No applications will be accepted before or after these dates. The application for employment can be found in the employment section of the website for Sun Valley Company.
Please do not send any other documentation with your employment application unless the position for which you are applying requires certification.
Step 2: An H-2B Visa form (not the application for employment – see Step 1) will only be sent to candidates that have been hired by a department manager of Sun Valley Company. Any H-2B forms received without verification from a manager will not be considered. A scanned copy of all pages of your current passport must accompany the H2B Visa form. This process is time sensitive and all requests from Sun Valley Company must be answered on a timely basis.
Step 3: The deadline of September 7 is absolute for documentation requested by Sun Valley Company for the H-2B process. Fees, passport information and the Sun Valley Company H-2B form must be submitted by this date. Any application that had been accepted previously will become null and void if documentation is not received by this date.
Email communication with the H-2B Visa coordinator is essential to your potential employment. You must check your email for notices or information from Sun Valley on a regular schedule. Any information requested by Sun Valley must be received in a timely manner.
It is suggested to hired applicants that you request your interview date immediately upon acceptance of your application if the embassy will allow it. Most petitions will be received around the beginning of October and interviews should be requested for the end of October if possible. Contract dates for winter generally start on November 22 and you should be here by that date to start work. Some consulates/embassies will not allow you to make an interview appointment until the petition has been granted approval. Please consult with the H-2B coordinator for assistance.

All Applicants
All international students must fill out an application and mail in a hard copy or e-mail format using Rich-Text format. Applications should also be typed, NOT HANDWRITTEN, and include a cover letter stating the following: Which type visa you are applying for, what position(s) you are interested in, and your available dates. We must also have a legible e-mail to contact you should Sun Valley have an available position.
