Sun Valley, ID (July 17, 2023) – Sun Valley Resort announces the return of its River Run Summer Series, a family-friendly event taking place six Wednesday evenings from 5pm- 8pm in July, August and September at the River Run base area, kicking off July 26. Chairlift service will run until 7pm, allowing for three extra hours of lift assisted hiking and biking followed by live music, an outdoor bar, food trucks, lawn games, educational activities and more.
Each Summer Series event will feature a brand partner who will team up with Sun Valley Resort to host an educational biking activity such as bike tuning tips or trail stewardship discussions, as well a local nonprofit partner who will be the beneficiary of 20-percent of all lift ticket sales from that day.
“Sun Valley’s summer series is a fantastic time to shine light on several of our community partners, businesses and nonprofits” said Pete Sonntag, Sun Valley Resort GM and VP. “We’re really excited about this year’s lineup and are looking forward to extending River Run’s operating hours, giving the community a place to come together and celebrate the summer season.”
Evening ticket prices are $25 for bikers, $15 for foot traffic, and $10 for kids 12 & under from 4-7pm. A summer series season pass for lift access and all six events will be available for $100. Tickets and passes can be purchased here or at the River Run base area.

In addition to the educational bike activity being hosted by the featured brand partner at each event, the local non-profits will also have a booth presence and will be hosting a variety of family-friendly activities such as kids bike decorating, scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, obstacle courses, family trivia and more.
