The Sun Valley spirit has always been forward-looking. From opening our first winter season in 1936 with North America’s first operating chairlift to the legendary skiers who tested their talents on our slopes for generations to hosting the first Stifel Sun Valley World Cup, we embrace our legendary past while always looking to the future.
Whether enhancing our fan-favorite terrain or investing in the preservation of our historic, Austrian-inspired mountainside Village, the future is bright at Sun Valley Resort. With the magic of our one-of-a-kind winter activities like horse-drawn sleigh rides and gourmet on-mountain dining, and summer activities that make you never want to leave the mountains, including premium golfing, hiking, and biking, we are always looking to pave the way for new experiences and discoveries at the nation's first year-round destination resort.
World Cup races take place on the International trail, finishing in the Warm Springs Base Area of Bald Mountain. Spectators can watch the races from the Lower Greyhawk Base Viewing Area.
