J1 Visa

Sun Valley works with the Summer Work and Travel Program and Intern/Trainee programs under the J1 type visa. We use InterExchange, CIEE, and Greenheart as sponsors. If you are new to the program you will need to follow the Direct Placement protocol. We recommend that you contact one of the approved Sponsors and inquire about which local agencies they work with in your area. They will be able to help you get the process started and assist with the various steps in the process.

This program allows Sun Valley to hire nonimmigrants to perform nonagricultural labor or services in the United States. Sun Valley provides in-country and out-of-country hires for various positions depending on the demand. Please check our job board to see which positions we will offer each winter season. Your Employee ID is your ticket to enjoy all that Sun Valley has to offer! It’s your ski pass, your tool for clocking in to work, and scans for 20% off our restaurants (and who doesn’t want a Village Station Pizza?!). You thus get the idea that your employee ID is very important. If you break or lose your ID, go to the Human Resources front desk for a replacement. You are allowed three free reprints, and then it's $10 cash for each reprint thereafter.
